The Ashbourne Retreat – Offering a seamless blend of architecture, landscape, and modern living.
It’s been a brilliant start to the year for HEX Living. Managing Director Paul Clews explains why the garden furniture is coming home, regardless of what happens at the World Cup.
We’re seeing plenty of sunshine in the UK, meaning families are making the most of their gardens. This is naturally the busiest period for HEX Living as we help hundreds of homeowners enjoy the summer in style.
The halfway point in 2026 is also a great place to reflect on the year so far and it’s fair to say it’s been another transformational period for HEX Living.
Huge growth
I am proud to report that we achieved 27% year-on-year order growth, as more families choose HEX Living for our unique range of outdoor kitchens and furniture, pergolas, sheds and storage boxes.
Customers buy our products because they are stylish and practical; they are made in Britain; and the metal components all come with a lifetime guarantee. This is why our sales are significantly outperforming the wider outdoor living market, which has reportedly seen sales level off compared to last year.
In addition, our outdoor kitchens continue to deliver exceptional growth, with sales already reaching 30% of last year’s total annual volume, ahead of the usual summer rush. This demonstrates strong year-round demand and less seasonal dependence, which can only strengthen our business. Combining sleek design with durability and complete customisation, it is no wonder that our Buckley range of outdoor kitchens is proving so popular.
HEX Living highlights
The HEX Living team has also been working hard to increase our presence in the retail market, enabling more people to experience our products first-hand.
We have expanded our retail footprint with 20 new display sites installed across the UK this year already. You can now find a HEX Living stockist everywhere from Aberdeen to Bournemouth, and from Welshpool to Woodbridge.
Last but not least, we once again enjoyed significant success at RHS Malvern Spring Festival. HEX Living is now a regular exhibitor and this year we were delighted when our stand was recognised with a prestigious 5-Star Award.
What’s next
This is only half time for 2026; we’ve got some exciting plans for the second half of the year!
Join us in July as we make our debut at RHS Sandringham. This is a new RHS flower show that will be held in the grounds of the Norfolk estate, owned by the Royal Family. We are investing in this event to further increase our brand visibility among gardening and outdoor living enthusiasts – and if our stand proves even half as popular as it is at Malvern, we will be delighted.
We will continue this momentum into the autumn, as HEX Living is exhibiting at the Grand Designs Live Show at the NEC in October. Here we will be showcasing an outdoor kitchen in partnership with Urban Landscape Design, one of our key customers. This should help us build on the superb success of our outdoor kitchens range so far this year.
Overall, we’re really pleased with the progress of the business as we continue to demonstrate that a British manufacturer can succeed with stylish, practical and extremely durable outdoor products. It’s going to be an exciting finish to the year, so watch out for further updates.
In the meantime, as a Staffordshire company we will be cheering on England at the World Cup – hopefully it’s coming home this year! But whatever happens in America, more people are coming home to HEX Living.
